Link PLU numbers to Specific Products
ShopHero maintains a vast library of product data, including professional product images and accurate product categorizations. When a new store enters the onboarding process with ShopHero, a product data file is secured from the store’s Point of Sale provider. That file is eventually uploaded into the store’s ShopHero test website. The PLU Linking process connects each store’s product data with the data contained in ShopHero’s Master Library and allows the appropriate product information, i.e., images, categories, etc. to be displayed on each store’s website.
1. Login to your website and click ADMIN at the top of the screen. This will open the Admin Panel.
2. From within the Admin Panel, click on Products & Inventory and select Overview from the sub-menu. This will take you to the Products – Overview page in the Admin Panel.
3. Search for the product needing to be linked by entering a UPC/PLU or a Keyword in the appropriate field.
4. Click the Linking tab in the product page.
5. Click the Search PLU Library button
6. Enter the Product Description in the Search for a Product field
7. Select the appropriate product from the displayed drop-down list.
8. Click the Link PLU button.
9. The General Product Information will be noticeably updated with the inclusion of a product image and appropriate category.
