In-Store Pricing

We use the price and movement report from your backend sales provider to see what products are currently in your store. Most prices are set to expire after 30 days. The most common issue is that we have not received this report in the last 30 days. Shophero prefers that this report is automatically sent daily, but we can upload files manually. To check if we have recently received a report, navigate to your admin panel, go to products & Inventory, and click POS Data Sync. Check the date of the last file received. If it is more than 30 days old, please send us a new file to upload.

Most stores do not have their scaleable items such as meat in their point of sale system. If this is the case, here are the steps to follow to manually add these prices to your online site!

Manually Adding/Editing Prices

Option 1- Manual Price Editor tool (to download an excel spreadsheet to edit prices quickly) This tool will mainly be used for meats items

  • Log in to your website Admin panel
  • Select the Manual Price Editor on the left side menu
  • Check the boxes for what you would like included
  • Click on the blue “Download Price Spreadsheet” button
  • Using Excel, update the appropriate columns in the spreadsheet to reflect your pricing adjustments. (make sure to keep the same format on every column, and do not change the Product UPC or Product ID)
  • Save your changes and re-upload file

  • Option 2- From website Admin Panel
  • Log in to your website Admin panel
  • Click on Inventory from the drop-down menu
  • Click on Price Encoded Report
  • Select “Not Verified” from the top menu
  • Here you will find items that are not currently on your site due to no price
  • Click into each item by clicking on the product PLU/UPC or the description
  • A new page will open allowing you to make any edits and put the item online

To add Price

  • Scroll down to Base Price $ box
  • Type the base price for the item
  • Select Sale Unit from drop-down menu
  • Choose Effective Dates
  • SAVE
  • Scroll back up to Product Settings, make sure “Available Online” toggle is set to the green “online” side
  • Make sure “Review Status” toggle is also set to “online”
  • As price items change you can change them on the admin panel

Option 3- From ShopHero Fulfillment mobile app

  • Log in to your ShopHero Fulfillment app
  • Select Inventory Management
  • Select your store location
  • Scan Barcode or manually enter UPC/PLU for product
  • Enter Base Price
  • Choose unit specification (case, each or lb)
  • NOTE: if there is not a photo for the product you can also take a photo by clicking on the “Take Ecom Photo” button (click HERE for more information on product photos)
  • As price items change you can change them on the admin panel

NOTE If your scaleable/weighted items are showing the WRONG price online (such as all showing $1 or $0.01); Price is not in the POS system report

These items will not be on the list above since they (technically) do have a price. Here are the steps to take to change these prices.

  • Log in to the store website with an admin account
  • Find the item on the website
  • Click on the pencil icon next to the “add to cart” button, you will be taken to the admin panel editing page
  • Scroll down to “Base Price” and enter the correct price
  • Select the “Sale Unit” type from the drop-down menu
  • Select the “Effective Dates” (you can set this to never expire)
  • Scroll back up a little bit and toggle the “POS Price Update” to “Disabled” (this will make sure that when a new price report is uploaded the price will not revert back to the wrong amount)
  • Also switch the “POS Price Unit Update” toggle bar to “Disabled”
